Honey Custard French Toast
This is a wonderful breakfast or brunch for the whole family. The honey makes it just a little extra-special.
Serves: 6
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 5 to 10 minutes


1/2 cup honey
1 cup milk
6 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
1/8 teaspoon salt
12 slices French bread, about 3/4 inch thick
1 tablespoon butter
honey, optional
Toasted pecan pieces, optional

In a large, shallow bowl, beat together the honey, milk, eggs, cinnamon, and salt. Dip the bread slices in the egg mixture and turn to coat.

Heat some butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Cook the bread for 1 to 2 minutes on each side until browned.

Serve the French toast with more honey and sprinkled with pecans.
