The Zone is a way of eating and its bedrock foundation makes it the ideal diet for anyone who has tried others (and perhaps failed) and now would like to make a lifelong change.  And make no mistake about it: The Zone is a way of life!

Living and eating in the Zone is a life choice, not only for those who want to lose weight, but for anyone who wants to live a healthy, happy life.

Basic Zone Tenets
When you eat and live in the Zone, every meal is comprised of a sensible balance of 40 percent carbohydrates, 30 percent protein, and 30 percent fat. This is the 40-30-30 approach you may already associate with the Zone.

Being in the Zone means eating three meals a day and two snacks. You don’t count calories, and you never skip a meal. What could be better.

You practice sensible portion control and pay attention to what you eat, which means staying away from sugar, limiting unfavorable carbohydrates such as bread, pasta, rice, and potatoes, and avoiding animal fats as much as possible.

The 40-30-30 balance maintains the body so that it is in perfect hormonal equilibrium. When you achieve this stability, everything works right. And when everything works right, you feel great.

What to Look Forward To
Whether you want to drop pounds, develop a healthful eating plan, increase your energy, improve your general health, or accomplish all four, the Zone is for you.
