The Foreman Family Breakfast Sausage
This sausage is delicious served with french toast.

1 pound ground pork
3 tablespoons water
2 teaspoons fennel seeds
2 teaspoons sage, crushed
2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
1 1/2 teaspoons ground ginger
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1/2 teaspoon salt, (optional)
canola oil, for grid, if using grill




In a medium bowl, combine all the ingredients and mix with your fingers until the ingredients are well combined. Form the mixture inot ten 2-inch patties.

Prepare the grill or electric grilling machine for cooking.

If using a charcoal grill, oil the grid and place it above ashen coals. Grill the sausage patties directly above the heat for 2 to 3 minutes on each side, or until the juices run clear and no pink remains.

If using an electric grilling machine, place the sausage patties on a hot grill and cook for about 4 minutes, or until the juices run clear and no pink remains.
