1/4 cup chopped bacon
1 cup chopped onions
1/2 cup chopped red, green or yellow bell peppers
3 cans (16 ounces each) pork and beans
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup yellow mustard
1/4 cup Worcestershire sauce

Put the bacon and vegetables in 3-quart microwave-safe bowl. Cover loosely and microwave on high for 5 minutes or until the bacon is partially cooked.

Stir in the remaining ingredients and microwave, uncovered, for about 20 minutes on medium high until the beans are heated through and slightly thickened. Stir the baked beans twice during microwaving.

Alternatively, you can bake the beans in a 350 degree F oven for 50 minutes to 1 hour until the beans are heated through. Stir several times during baking.
