Aunt Sara's Bass Steaks

Bass steaks
salt and pepper
lemon juice
Parmesan cheese

Season bass steaks with salt and pepper. Sprinkle a teaspoon of lemon juice over each steak and let stand at room temperature for about 15 minutes. Prepare enough mayonnaise mixed together with a large quantity of Parmesan cheese to cover steaks. Coat steaks and broil until they flake, about 5 to 7 minutes. Cover with mayonnaise mixture again and return to broiler until bubbly and slightly browned, about 2 to 3 minutes. Take care not to overcook.
