Perfect Boiled Rice
A perfect rice to compliment any meal.

Cook Time: 25 minutes


2 quarts cold water or broth, or a combination
salt, to taste
1 1/2 cups long- or medium-grain white rice

In a lrage stockpot, bring the water or broth to a boil, then stir in the salt to taste (if using canned broth, you may not need salt). Sprinkle the rice over the water gradually so that the water does not stop boiling. Lower the heat to medium-low and cook for about 15 minutes, or until rice is tender but still firm. Drain immediately in a medium-fine mesh sieve.
