Holiday Baking at its finest and Fun. use a little more flour to the mixture as it sits it will get a bit warm. make sure the tempature on oven is 375 not 350.time consuming.Tastes wonderfull, Have FUN

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1/2 cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 large egg
3 cups corn flakes
1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup finely chopped pecans
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 dozen thin pretzels
3 dozen white jelly beans, cut in half lengthwise
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips, melted
3 dozen red candy-coated pieces, for the nose

In large bowl, cream butter and sugaruntil fluffy. Add egg and molasses,beating until smooth. In a blender,or a food processer fitted with a steel blade,process next 6 ingredients until mixture resembles a coarse meal.Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture;knead untilea soft dough forms.Divide dough in half.Roll each half into a 2-inch diameter log.Wrap dough in plastic wrap and chill 8 hours or overnight.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.Cut dough into 1/4-inch thick slices.Transfer to a greased baking sheet.Use fingers to pinch each cookie 1/3 from 1 end to resemble reindeer face.Break pretzels into 1-1/2-inch pieces and insert 2 pieces into top of each cookie.Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.Cool completeley on a wire rack.For eyes, dip 1 end of 2 jelly bean halves in melted chocolate and place on each cookie.For nose, use a small amount of chocolate to secure 1 candy-coated peice to each cookie.Allow chocolate to harden.Store in an airtight container.Yield:about 3 dozen cookies.
