1 pint strawberries, hulled and quartered
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup evaporated skim milk, well chilled
2 tablespoon Grand Marnier liqueur or 1 tablespoon Grand Marnier liqueur
8 buttermilk biscuits

Put a metal mixing bowl and the beaters for an electric mixer into the freezer to chill.

For the filling, combine the strawberries, sugar, and the Grand Marnier in a bowl. Mix and set aside.

For the topping, put the evaporated skim milk into the chilled mixing bowl. Fit the electric mixer with the chilled beaters and beat at medium speed until soft peaks form. Add the liqueur and continue to mix for 1 minute more.

To assemble, split each buttermilk biscuit in half and place one half on each dessert plate. Divide the strawberries among the biscuits. Place the other half of each biscuit, slightly askew, on top of the strawberries, leaving a mound of fruit exposed, and top each with a dollop of the whipped evaporated milk.
