1/4 cup butter, or margarine
3 tablespoons CRISCO® All Vegetable Shortening
1 1/4 cups sugar
3 egg whites
1 cup buttermilk, nonfat
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 1/4 cups cake flour, sifted
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon almond extract
2 ounces semisweet chocolate
strawberry sauce

Cream margarine and shortening; gradually add sugar. Beat until light and fluffy. Add egg whites 1 at a time, beating after each addition. Combine buttermilk and soda; set aside. Combine flour and salt; add two mixtures to creamed mixture, beginning and ending with flour. Reserve 2 cups of batter, stir almond extract into reserved batter. Stir chocolate into remaining batter. Spoon almond and chocolate batters alternately into greased 9x9-inch pan. Using tip of a knife, swirl batters together. Bake at 325 F for 40 minutes, or until a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Serve warm with sauce.
