Brundige Family Chutney( we call it Chile Sauce)
A spicy tomatoe chutney that is a must to serve with roast chicken or turkey. Great to accompany turkey sandwiches too!

1 can whole tomatoes
chopped celery
chopped onion
1/2 cup sugar
1/2 cup vinegar
1 tsp. cinnamon

Place tomatoes in saucepan, chopping coarsely, add sugar
and vinegar. Chop enough celery and onions that it constitu-
tes more than half the volume( the more onions and celery
the better). Add cinnamon and cloves. Stir. Bring to a boil
and simmer for 2-5 hours.The only way to overcook this is to
burn it. The heavenly aroma will scent your house for hours.
Can be kept in the refridgerator for a long time.
