1/4 cup red wine vinegar
1/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1/4 cup honey
2 tablespoons dried basil
1 tablespoon dried oregano
1/4 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
1/2 juice lemon
2 garlic cloves, minced
1 teaspoon lemon zest, grated
1 green onion, chopped

Add the vinegar, olive oil, honey, basil, oregano, pepper, lemon juice, and garlic to a medium saucepan, and bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Turn the heat to low and cook for about 15 minutes, or until the sauce is reduced by about one half. Remove from the heat and stir in the lemon zest and green onion.
Serve warm as a finishing and table sauce.
Unused sauce will keep for several weeks in the refrigerator.
