2 cups flour
2 cups milk
4 eggs
1 teaspoon salt

Combine all ingredients and stir by hand until reasonably smooth.

Pour into six liberally greased Pyrex cups, filling them 2/3 full.

Place directly on oven rack in a cold oven.

Bake at 400 degrees F. for 40 minutes or until golden brown and completely puffed. Popovers wall fall if undercooked. Serve at once. Muffin tins can also be used.
